Vulnerability Assessment and Network Security Forums

As technology grows, so does the ability of hackers to find a loophole in technology. The growth in technology doesn’t just attribute to the new functions but mainly on the security front. It is important that the manufacturer thoroughly tests the system for any kind of shortcomings before it hits the market. Vulnerability assessment is the most imperative aspect of any technology today.

For example, when Vista was due to be released last year, there was a big hype on the security front. Microsoft invited hackers all over US and challenged them to hack Vista. Eventually after several revisions, it was released early this year.

The most popular socializing place on the internet is through forums. A network security forum would be the best medium to discuss issues regarding network security. If the network can be secured, then the vulnerabilities could be minimized to a great extent. Hence I feel that all geeks who expertise in network security should volunteer to spend more time in such forums to help others like me to transact in a secure world.
